Seriously. That episode was just:

"Hey guys, let's take a giant dump on continuity. Our fans will make sense of it no matter what!!!"

Maybe, but 90% of that dump consists of last week's episode. I'm still pissed about that episode, but this one made me put it behind me.

Actually no, this one was worse. Because nothing ever matters in the show.

Hey, Flocke doesn't need Desmond. Oh wait yes he does. Only Hurley can see Jacob, oh wait no other people can. Widmore is a big powerful character, who knows about...oh wait no he doesn't matter. Hey Ben's this awesome character going through a...oh wait no he's exactly the same. Hey Kate, we need you...oh wait no we don't. Hey Sun and Jin, you died for...well, nothing. Sawyer you can't leave the island...oh wait you don't matter either. Hey Richard is important and immorta...oh wait no he's not.

Did I cover everything?

1) Just because they aren't candidates anymore doesn't by any means they are worthless
2) Ben's turn in this episode is understandable. First of all the person who hired his daughter's murderer to do the deed walks into his own home, and Ben would never forgive Widmore over such an act. And whats one more body, especially on his most hated enemy, to Ben; he's killed dozens. Secondly if Ben didn't oblige right then, MIB would have killed him. I don't think he'll kill the candidates. His character is past that, even if he wants MIB to believe otherwise for now.
3) Rihard was disappointing, but the rest of your points are nitpicky as hell.

No you forgot that Ben was unable to kill Widmore. In the episode wheren Ben left the island, when he visited Widmore, he said to Widmore, "We both know I can't do that."

That was in response to Widmore asking if Ben was there to kill him.

No I didn't.

"Hi, my name is Jacob DudeinWhite. You might remember me from such films as "Throw Your Brother in a Creek," and "Humanity is Good People." You see, my brother, let's call him MIB, wants to leave this island. Now, he has to kill me first. So What I'm going to do is bring people to this island. Now, I know that only other people can kill me, but my brother can imitate dead people. He's a smart manipulative guy, 200 years old in fact. So, I'm going to give him the necessary peices to orchestrate his escape, rather than never bringing anyone to the island ever again. It's cool, I don't mind that leading to the deaths of people who just had a baby. Peace out folks!"

Thats Ab Aeterno's flaw, not this episode.

I'm talking about the storyline in general, not just what brought us here.

Point taken.

I'm sorry. When Flocke said he now needed Desmond, I literally broke out laughing. I was watching on Hulu and immediately went to emoticons. I thought the writers knew what they were doing by now, but clearly, they are still making it up as they go along.

Look at the cabin discussion, the Eloise discussion, this moment, everything. Nothing matters in this show. The only rule of Lost is that there are no rules. It's simply entertaining people who will make sense of anything. There is no solid foundation to the show, they have proved that they can just do whatever they want, even 3 episodes from the end they completely disregard and crap on things they have done before.

We will end the show with all of the characters at the Driveshaft concert singing "You All Everybody" Then fade to black. LOST

Well since Charlie is likely playing at the concert, its entirely possible. I still have absolutely no clue how the show will end, so your guess is as good as mine.

I am really hoping it isn't a merging of the two realities and everyone is alive and remembers everything but they are all on the good time line.

This is clearly where the show is going, imo. There is almost no other choice.

I'll leave if asked.

No offense, but you're being a douche. Pointing out flaws in storytelling, narrative, and characters isn't "whining."

And I'm assuming you missed Myth's points from like 22-28.

And the thread had been dead for almost 3 hours by the time I posted, FWIW. I brought it back.

Uh oh. Watch out freaux.

Another Mountain Topper that believes every word and deed on Lost was written On High on clay tablets by a fiery bush.
