You may have something there Stu, Mother Goose = MIB's mother.

OML's not bad, at least he's well read on the subject. I may disagree with some of his takes, but at least he can back up his theories with actual data and references to actual scenes
......a few others on the other hand

Ok I've read through the thread and have 2 questions. When MIB was talking to Kate, was he trying to imply/foreshadow that Aaron might be evil? He made the connection that Kate is now the "crazy" mom, and we already know that only Claire was supposed to raise him.
Second, and this may be germans but I can't remember every single thing about this show, but do we know about Locke's mom? We know about his dad obviously, but the only memory I have of his mom is when he's a kid and Richard comes to the house. Do we have any info on her story?

Another question: Do we think Locke's dad was still to blame for Sawyer's parents deaths?
From the Locke episode earlier in the year, they seem to have a normal relationship which would lead me to believe that he was a part of Locke's life for a while.
So did he reform his ways after the deaths, I wonder. Or was it someone else?

I don't think so. I think he was just trying to tell Kate that Aaron would have a rough go of it if he was raised by Claire.
I don't think MIB is all evil.

I thought he was referring to Claire as the crazy mom?

I think you're reading too much into both of those situations. Claire was probably just acting nice, trying to get Kates defenses down so she could jump her later. MIB was just trying to help her up and Kate wasn't interested.
seriously? when someone shits on the island there are like 5 different implications.

Am I the only one who would like to see the psychic (Richard Malkin?) come into play in the flash sideways? Even if only briefly.

It all depends on if Miles can do a reading on the dead shite before it decomposes. But then the shite could always appear to Hurley later, ala Mr. Hankey.

I'm not hating on OML, he definitely knows his shite, I have just never seen a guy have the ability to fire off 5 posts in a row on a heavy traffic thread like he can. It's magical.
Oh and my theory is that Uncle Stu is Mother Goose and will come down to the island in the mother ship dressed like an Egyptian in the series finale. Then Bob Newhardt wakes up.

Sawyer was calling a list of Anthony Coopers from his desk. Assuming the same Anthony Cooper is Locke's father...maybe so.

I've only seen the episode once so I could be wrong, but didn't he specifically state, "Now you are the crazy mom" when talking to Kate on the beach?

I thought he said "Now he has a crazy mom." referring to Aaron.

So we know next weeks episode is about Richard....but will it be flash backs to how richard came to the island and his history or will it be a flash sideways like all the other episodes this season. Because if it is a flash sideways wouldn't we just be watching a 400 year old tombstone?

In his defense that is not how she looked last night. She cleaned up pretty nicely. All these chicks are much better lookin when not on the island. Make up is a wonderful thing

He was telling Kate that she (Kate) should raise Aaron now because Claire is batshit crazy and if Claire were allowed to raise Aaron he would grow up with issues (like MIB did).
This conversation, especially in light of the "Aaron should not be raised by another" theme could have some bigger implications as to MIB's true intentions. We will have to wait and see.
