but do we know about Locke's mom?

didn't he specifically state, "Now you are the crazy mom" when talking to Kate on the beach?

Speaking of Locke's parents, did we ever get confirmation that Anthony Cooper was really Locke's dad?

According to that link, Anthony Cooper is Locke's father.
Also could the MIB saying that his mother was crazy be another indication of Locke's persona shining through (like when he said "Don't tell me what I can and can't do")?

What we are hearing from jacob's people is that MIB wants to kill all the canidates.....well if he can't directly do it himself, why didn't he just let Claire kill Kate?????? He might not be all bad.

Also MIB doesn't lie to people either from what I can gather....he tells them the truth when asked

I don't have time to wade through the bazillion pages that are already posted in this thread, so I am just jumping in. Apologies to all if this has been covered already.
There are a few interesting things in this picture, especially in light of recent episodes.
1. Locke is in the middle, thus Locke (or MiB) is possibly the driving protagonist. At the very least, he appears to be the deliniating factor between factions (those with and those against Flocke).
2. Sawyer is looking at Jack, thus while Sawyer is on the "right side" of Flocke, he has more conflict with Jack and any ideology/philosophy.
3. Sayid and Claire are also on Flocke's "right" side, as is Kate and Sawyer. All of them are currently following Flocke (to varying extents), so are Richard and Ilana going to flip loyalties? If so, why?
4. Unlike Sawyer and Kate, Sun and Jin are not together. Could this mean they don't reunite, or that if they do it is only as one dies or something?
Finally, last night's episode should have been named "Betcha Didn't See THAT Coming" for all of the suprises (Sawyer a cop? Miles is his partner? Charlotte? - damn, Sawyer gets all the arse- The wreck? The triple-cross with Widemore?)

He will do anything to accomplish his goal which as far as we know is to get off the island.

If we are to believe Emily Locke's mother, he would have had to be at least 30 as of 1956, which would have made him about 80 when he died on the island. The Anthony Cooper that we know just didn't seem that old. I was just wondering if it was ever confirmed whether on the show or by the writers.

If you take the mother literally on the age then he would be that old. Maybe he was like 24 when she was 16 though and it was exaggeration.

Good point. I was just wondering if it was ever confirmed on a podcast or something like that.

Why don't you just stop now with your "only guy that hated it" schtick?
Get the bunch out of your panties. I swear some of you get pissy like a bunch of school girls when someone says they don't like an episode. I didn't like it. I don't think it advanced the story line as much as the episodes and I find Sawyer's story lines redundant and predictable. Can anyone honestly say, aside from him being a copy, that they were surprised by Sawyer's actions? I wasn't.
FYI, this is the first episode I have ever openly criticized so I am not sure if that counts as a "schtick".

So you actually hated it or it wasn't your favorite? The fact that MIB started revealing more of his personality alone made the episode worth watching.
