There was no Jacob's cabin. The person living in the cabin told them he was Jacob but obviously that was not the truth. The Cabin was being used by anti-Jacob and had that powder there to keep him locked in.

When they first found the Cabin, didn't one of them scrape the powder to break the barrier surrounding the cabin?

it was ash and yeah someone must have. the real question is what is the significance of the ash? why was that enough to contain Fakeob?

Am I the only one who is wandering why Jacob and Anti-Jacob are anglo? I would have thought them to be of the ancient race that built the temples and statue.

i didn't think that until the very end of the episode. had basically forgotten about it til the end and had to go back to the beginning to see it again.

didn't horace say he was building jacob's cabin?

though he did say he was dead, so maybe that was anti-Jacob.

Here's my theory:

Oceanic 815 was ALWAYS supposed to end up on the island. The only thing they changed by setting off the bomb is that now it doesn't crash there as a result of Desmond not pushing the button.

I think we'll see season 6 open with the flight but instead of them landing in LA, it lands safely on the runway that Jacob was having the others build which is what it was originally intended for.

Season 6 will explore the reason why these specific people were chosen by Jacob to come to the island, and they will exist in a world that is a consequence of them setting off the bomb.

No - he said he was building a cabin for his "missus" and his kid. Locke found the directions to that cabin which was "Jacob's cabin" but I don't think Horace ever actually said that.

Am I the only one that thinks the bomb didn't actually go off?

I mean I know we have to suspend belief for Lost but it was dropped into a 100 foot whole in the ground and nothing happened. Yet Juliette sets it off by banging it with a rock?

I think the flash was similar to what we saw with Desmond and have seen in the past that indicates time travel.

ANd it fits in with the whole time loop theory. Since in the season that desmond released the energy he was stuck in a time loop of constantly returning to the island and saving charlie. This would fit into Jacob and Anit-Jacob discussing the black rock sailing twords the beach.

Sure there is a chance she is still alive. It is Lost we're talking about.

But....she'll be in a new show called V that is set in NYC. I'd say it makes it a little difficult to appear on both shows.

As I said before, I think there has been a reset (the flash at the end) and the folks will be on the plane again and crash, but this time they'll know wtf is going on a little better. Juliette would not really be a part of that this time around, so I doubt we see her.

The one problem I have with that theory is the fact that the people that died may have to come back and I don't see them being able to assemble the folks from the original cast the have been gone for a while. Although Lost could make it that those people are dead....and of course dead is dead. So who knows

I'm not so sure about this though, if they all end up back on the plane, they may have no memory of what has already happened because their memory will also be reset. I'm not sure if I'm missing a loophole or something, but I think they would go back to normal time like nothing had ever happened.
Thoughts?

I'd smash both fwiw. What if you could have a threesome with the same person at 2 different ages? That would make for one hell of a series finale. Just sayin
