Question: Cindy said Jack and co. were on the "1st plane"? Y'all think she means Ajira was the 2nd plane? Or that it was the first Oceanic 815? I'm thinking and hoping it's the latter
That's what I was wondering

Incredible episode.
I think the seven people touched by Jacob - Kate, Sawyer, Jack, Hurley, Locke, Sun, Jin, and Sayid - are on the list and are candidates to become members of the temple. It looked like there was a wide variety of people in the temple. I wonder if they are like the island "all stars" spanning hundreds of years.

I just realized something though. 2nd Oceanic 815 doesn't crash. Island is sunk. Unless there is yet another plane. frick...

Wouldn't this make Richard one of them?

Of course it doesn't crash. We saw it land.

I think the alternate timelines will re-converge and we will discover things like Jack is the reason Locke can walk again, etc.

What did "John" mean when he said to Richard: "Good to see you out of those chains."
Since you are one of those people stupid enough that it needs to be spoonfed to you, I will do the dirty pleasure: in the Black Rock there were many slaves, and these slaves were in chains. As of now I'm pretty sure that's what it is referring to.

do you have to be a prick?

What was Locke/MIB referring to when he was talking to Richard about being in chains?
He'd have a hell of a job multicasting. Also The Monster has everything it wants by having Locke as a servant. Why take Sayid? And it couldn't have possessed Sayid in the first place since they put a barrier around the temple to makes sure the Monster didn't get in.

Anyone watching Kimmel?
The writers are on and they are giving up a lot of information.
Best part is that audience hasn't seen it yet, and the writers just gave away that Locke is the smoke monster. Several audience members were not happy.

I am ready for Alternate Reality Daniel Faraday to show up. You know that dude's gonna have some answers.
Oh shite, and what about Alternate Reality Ben? He gets born in Portland, but does he go to the Island? We saw that Dharmaville was built before it sank. Did he die when it sunk? If he shows up in the Alternate Reality I might lose my shite.

He was on the island when the time lines split (assuming they split in 1977).

I dont understand this whole reincarnation on dead peoples bodies shite. It's starting to miss me off and confuse the frick out of me.
All of them have been the Monster. Now the Monster has found someone everyone would take seriously, but someone he could manipulate to his will. SInce he was seen as powerful and could manipulate his will, he had him killed through Ben, and now he is controlling the Others through the dead Locke.

I am not quite ready to buy into Jughead causing the split just yet. Jensen bluntly asks this question to the writers in that EW article and they dodge that shite like crazy.
Going on facts: Dharmaville is there, statue is in disrepair...it it sunk sometime during or after the 70's. But we don't know, for a fact, that Jughead caused it. Its a logical assumption, but an assumption nonetheless.
Posted on 2/3/10 at 12:00 am to truthbetold
yeah, I'm going to go ahead and stamp it.
my bold prediction: Jughead didn't cause the dimensional split. Something else did.

can someone explain Desmond being on the plane and then disappearing?

Well he seemed to go away after Charlie died. It has to be tied to him being alive.

It's a parallel reality. We've had Flashbacks, Flashforwards, and now we'll have Flashsideways. Desmond never landed on the island (hell for all we know, Desmond may have never entered the boat race). The writers are obviously giving us a gift by sticking him on the plane.
My prediction: everyone who wanted "off" the island, especially Jack, are going to have miserable lives in the alternative reality.
