I like that they explained it, but it seemed like such a forced scene just to explain it for the sake of the viewers.

Must say I'm a little let down by that reveal. I think they could do much more with it.
And it still doesn't explain the occurrence of the whispers off of the island during the autopsy of Charlotte Malkin.
