Not really. Enough viewers made general predictions where it would end up after the first few episodes.
Also, back in the day, ABC put up a website that contained little bits of additional information every week because the writers couldn't tell a cohesive enough story.
The initial plan was for three seasons, but the success of season one changed things.

I don’t think so. There was a “mystery” in episode 1 they never answered.
Also it slowed down considerably halfway thru season 1. The show was filmed in 2 halves and when they filmed the 2nd half they saw the ratings exploded during the first half so they slowed it down. They stopped giving a backstory on every character in the 2nd half for example….started to draw that sucker out.

So worth it while at times it can be slow the payoff is worth it. Wish I could erase my mind and rewatch.
