Snatch - the pikey, the characters...it's just better and more polished - unless you think it's too Hollywood and then you'll prefer the inferior Lock, Stock.

Damn both solid movies. Hard to pick a better one, but I think I prefer Lock Stock, that's the one about the poker game right?

I do remember that there was much about the movie I did like, but I was turned off by the idea that the son was going to suddenly become a bad-arse gangster, and I thought the term "rocknrolla" was too quaint to be taken seriously. And, unlike Lock Stock and Snatch, I just felt that these gangsters were pussies compared to American gangsters.
I also remember thinking the "twist" was a little bit of a rip-off of The Departed.
I didn't hate it. I just think it was step backward from Ritchie's previous work.
And all of this is just my humble opinion and even though I sometimes think I know everything, I know I really don't.

I like Snatch better. Probably because I saw it first. And I love the soundtrack.
The scene in Lock, Stock when the afro guy lights the dude on fire after strategically placing the fire extinguisher outside the door is awesome though.

Lock Stock is the better movie and better all around if you break it down like in a film lecture class, however, Snatch has tremendous characters that carry the movie through rough spots in the story and blah blah blah
