I've seen a couple comments like this. Is it true that Cavill had issues with the direction of the show? I thought he was the driving force behind the adaption and guided a lot of the decisions. That would suck if he is really leaving over creative differences. He's one of my favorite actors right now and I'm a big Witcher video game fan.

Even writers who liked the source material were edged out. Leaving those who actively mock it.

This was a labor of love for Cavil. Dude even paid out of pocket to up the special effects of a scene he felt important.
