There was a time when a lot of movies and TV had Cop Partners. Not as much these days but a little. I was watching the first Lethal Weapon, which I had not seen in a long time, and forgot how great of a chemistry Mel Gibson and Danny Glover had. I know their personal lives have drawn some negativity and I'm just focusing on the work.

What are some of your favorite/best Cop Partner shows from TV and Movies. Let's count shows like the Original Wild West since they were Secret Service.

Here's my list (in no particular order)

Friday/Gannon : Dragnet

Riggs/Murtaugh: Lethal Weapon (Movie)

Crocket/Tubbs: Miami Vice

I left a lot of meat on the bones for this thread...

Starsky & Hutch (TV show) was the best of the " buddy-cop " genre

Let's Be Cops wasn't all that bad.

I laughed my arse off during some scenes. I was also high as giraffe pussy when I was watching it.

How did we get to double digit posts in this thread without mentioning Hot Fuzz?

Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett don’t get enough love in the pantheon of buddy cops.

Also, Reggie Hammond wasn’t a cop but the 48 Hours movies are classic buddy cop flicks.

48 Hours and Miami Vice were the first two that come to mind for me.
