This one has been discussed multiple times on the M/TV board. But it's always worth it.

Pretty much nailed it when you called it perfect from start to finish. My late father showed it to me in 1985 after he had seen it on HBO, and said "watch out for this Costner kid, he's gonna be a superstar."

I too love the way it transitions from a 'drunken college kids doing hilarious stupid stuff' to a genuinely heartfelt drama about true friendship and facing adulthood. Just a fantastic film from start to finish.

Here's one I had a little personal insight on, as I used to work with the makeup artist (who also appears briefly on screen in the first minute or so):

Great pure '80s end-of-the-world flick about two sisters who are fighting to survive the zombie apocalypse that follows the 'night' in the title. Hilarity (and some horror) ensues. Starring a lovely Mary Catherine Stewart as the older sister, and the always brilliant Mary Wuronov as a scientist.

Beastmaster is every bit as good as Conan though it seems to get passed over.

This movie fricked up my head. The blatant disregard for human life by most of the cast is both sad and terrifying.

Looking back, they did a decent job of portraying the emo 90's grunge culture that was headed our way.

I always thought it to be the prototype to movies like Kids, Requiem for a Dream, etc.

Turk 182 is a great call, saw it in the theater. Really liked it then, haven't seen it since.

Porky's gets all the love but I remember more fondly:

It's the ultimate 80's T&A movie.

It starred Tim Matheson (Animal House), Stephen Furst (Animal House), Dan Monahan (the star of Porky's) and an 80's staple hottie - often forgotten (Jennifer Runyon.)

So you had Otter, Flounder, Pee-Wee and this hottie:

From Ghostbusters and Charles in Charge.

If you were to explain to Aliens what T&A comedies were like in the 80's - you'd have them watch this movie.

Oh and Up the Creek came out in the all-time classic year of 1984 and was the product of the greatest 80's Producer - Orion.

BTW, I see Airborne mentioned.

The hot blonde in Airborne did Midget porn for awhile and was Mini-Me's girlfriend.
