It was basically a Ralph Lauren(circa 1995) ad. I thought the movie was overly long, melodramatic, and pretty much pointless. Brad Pitt hadn't even really mastered acting at that point, but I guess he didnt have to.
I don't understand the love for this movie, especially on TD.

Happen to flip to the channel as Hopkins unveils a double barrel shotgun, and blasts 2 guys.
Now, I wonder, is the movie just 190 minutes of Anthony Hopkins: Shotgun Killer?
I'd pay money to watch that.

I remember haven high hopes for the movie and being really disappointed in the soapiness of it all. I've read that brad Pitt didn't like that many of the scenes were edited that gave it more of a masculine edge. Personally I think Pitt is a bad actor. The only movie I really enjoyed with him as the lead was Kalifornia. He was great as Early Grace. Take away his looks and he discovers how to act. Kind of like Bruce wiilis and his hair.

In my book any movie where Indians are scalping the shite out of people is a good movie, therefore Legends Of the Fall is a good movie
