The part where the judge died from answering the cell phone was awesome

The only bad part of this movie, was the wrong guy died at the end. Best movie in years.

It was pretty good. Agree about the ending. Wrong person got the axe.

i wouldn't say the wrong guy
the person who died deserved to die, he had killed people that may have been in the wrong, but they didnt deserve death
as for the one that didnt die, i'm not sure that he deserved to die either, its ashamed that the judicial system has the faults that it does, but he is just a person that has to use that system
plea bargaining has gotten completely out of hand in our justice system

Great movie. I figured at some point the one left standing would have had the same results family wise, as the original guy.

I know I'm in the vast minority here, and that's fine, but I thought this movie was weak. Gerard Butler is a miserable actor.
Cool story, definitely. And Jamie Foxx is a great actor. But Butler ruined it for me.

Saw it a couple months ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it. He definitely did his homework!

I thought this movie kinda blew. It started with promise to be a really good thriller. I liked the idea/cause behind what Gerard Butler's character was doing, and it had some good early payoffs. But about half way thru he, and the movie, just go off the deep end. The movie ended up being so implausible. Butler's character is supposed to be so smart, I don't get why he made some of the decisions he made. I'm "Mr. Suspend Your Disbelief," but this movie was just too much even for me.

I guess you can put me in this camp as well. I did like it, but was disappointed with it, especially after seeing all the good shite people were saying about it on this board (and people I knew).
What bothered me was all the innocent people Butler's character killed. There was no need for all that. He basically went off the deep end, like you said, and started getting crazy. Setting car bombs for the lawyers and shite? Some of those people were students and whatnot. The bomb in the government building? Yeah, that wasn't gonna kill any innocents.
I dunno, it just rubbed me the wrong way how nonchalant Butler was about killing random people.

I really like this movie alot. Ive watched it 3 times. 2 things that get me: When they scanned the porterhouse the bone showed clear as day. Security would have identified it as a weapon. When Fox found his hide-out they rummaged around in there. No way a man of his training and skills wouldnt have noticed this. No silent alarm or camera?
He was bad-arse though
"The only reason your alive is he doesnt want you dead yet"
"Im talking Von clausewitz shite! Total fricking war!"
"Im going to bring this whole deseased, vile temple down on your head, its going to be biblical!"
