No way a man of his training and skills wouldn't have noticed this.

Wasn't Fox just a lawyer, or was he a cop or something before? What type of training does a lawyer get?

I dunno, it just rubbed me the wrong way how nonchalant Butler was about killing random people.

well, he was an assassin after all. A means to an end.

Well, I jsut found it hard to pull for the "good guy" when he was killing all these innocent people.

I did think the judge cell phone thing was badass though.

I meant Butlers character. He would have noticed that someone had been in his building on the way back to his cell the final time.

I thought this movie kinda blew. It started with promise to be a really good thriller. I liked the idea/cause behind what Gerard Butler's character was doing, and it had some good early payoffs. But about half way thru he, and the movie, just go off the deep end. The movie ended up being so implausible. Butler's character is supposed to be so smart, I don't get why he made some of the decisions he made. I'm "Mr. Suspend Your Disbelief," but this movie was just too much even for me.

I can't disagree with any of this. I thought it was ok, but definitely not a great movie. My wife loved it, which is odd, as I usually like this kind of movie more than she.

If they said he was a cop before he became a lawyer, I don't remember it. As far as I know he worked in the DA's office, then became the DA. I'm pretty sure most DA's don't do the police work...i.e. stakeouts, chasing criminals, and leading invesitgations in the field. Kind of like on CSI...do forensic examiners always do interrogations and arrest suspects? I'm betting they don't.

I think I am not being clear about what I meant. When Fox and the other guy found out about the property they just went there and broke in. Rules were pretty much out the door by them. I was saying that when Butler came back into his building for the final time that with HIS expertise he would have seen that someone had been in his building and that something was up. He probably wouldnt have gone back to his cell then.

Yeah, I think that's what most people who had a problem with the movie felt. Butler's character goes from the smartest guy in the movie to "well, the movie's about to end, so he doesn't need to be smart anymore...he can be forgetful now."
