I know this movie came out last year, but I just finally got around to watching it this morning.

It is a very sweet little movie and a great animated Christmas movie for those of us with kids who are tired of watching the grinch 60 times in a row.

It was nominated for an academy award, but was up against Toy Story 4, so it clearly had no chance.

If you have a chance, check it out. It is a really sweet origin story centered around a mailman. It definitely will make you tear up a couple times at the end too.

I will definitely watch again.

I gave it a shot because Norm MacDonald has a small role in it and liked it a lot. Really liked the animation style too.

Same here. We really liked it last year and was one of our first watches this season.

And Netflix's Christmas selection is terrible so that about finished our Netflix for the year

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Made me long for the old days of traditional hand-drawn animation. The way Klaus “became” Santa Claus was a bit dark, but it explains why he can do all of the magical things he does. Overall, a great new addition to my list of holiday films to watch every year.

Outstanding flick. I usually don't care for (or outright hate) the shite Netflix pushes, but I loved this movie. Been a long time since I swung emotions so fast in a flick, but the noose joke had my sides splitting and a moment later I was in tears (birds have a special significance for me and my wife). What a beautiful film (thematically and literally--the movie is gorgeous. Loved the lighting, especially in characters' eyes and on the arc shots). Better than TS4 in my opinion.

Bravo.

(And props for starting this thread--the recommendations pushed me to watch it.)

Funny thread came up, I was meaning to start one on it when i watched last week.

Great freaking movie. I did a rewatch on it after the first run through. Looks like one of those movies that I'll watch for many many Christmases now. I enjoyed it just that much.
