The thing about Norton was that I didn't realize that was him during the movie. I recognized the voice but I couldn't figure out who it was. I thought the actor was nailing it throughout the movie. When I looked up who it was on IMDB, my reaction was "of course it was Norton".

If you've never seen the director's cut give it a shot. It is the biggest improvement from theatrical cut to DC that I've ever seen before. I too thought the theatrical cut was mediocre, but the DC is pretty amazing.

I just watched it for the first time. Good movie IMO, definitely one of the better war epics. Edward Norton was fricking awesome. I had no idea that was him until I went to IMDB afterwards.

It was only a supporting role but he was phenomenal. Especially if you know the actual history behind the king that he played. He nailed it. By far Norton's best performance in a supporting role.
