Justified vs. Yellowstone

I'm a huge fan of both of these shows, though their premise is different.
I love how Raylan investigates and ultimately takes down criminals. Plus Raylan vs. Boyd was entertaining enough.
Yellowstone, being more of a cowboys vs. Indians (literally at times) style, has more in common with an old western type show.
Both have characteristics of Westerns, though if you had to pick one, which one? Justified wins for me.

Yellowstone is not close to the same tier as Justified.
Yellowstone is entertaining but Justified is greatness at times.

Yeah. These are just two of my favorites. I've told people that nothing could beat Justified in my book.

only watched the first 3 episodes of Justified. Watched every Yellowstone and even I would say Justified is a billion times better.

I'm on Season 4 of Justified and haven't watched all of the latest season of Yellowstone due to losing interest.
Justified, at least to this point, is leaps and bounds better.

Justified doesn’t really have a bad season. And you know from episode 1 if the show is one for you or not

Justified all day long. Yellowstone is turning into Melrose Place in Big Sky country. The daughter is one of the most annoying and just stupid characters in recent years.

Season 2 of Yellowstone is the only season I've seen completely. Didn't know where to watch til they were promoting Season 3 this fall. Watched all of Season 2 before 3 came out. Have watched maybe three episodes of it this year. I keep forgetting when it airs.
Justified was can't miss TV. Watched it every week when it aired live. Never missed a minute of it.

Like some others here have said, Yellowstone vs Sons of Anarchy would be the comparison for me.

Maybe I need to give Justified another shot. I watched the first few episodes years back but got that boring feel of “everything works out in the end” and not much real danger or gravity.
OTOH, Yellowstone started off pure gravity and danger with people dying and other serious shite from the first episode; however, it’s gotten so watered down this season.
To try and illustrate my point further, compare Rip and Raylan. I would be afraid of Rip if i got crossways with him in real life. Raylan, seems tough enough but kinda goofy, as the other characters do.

First season or early on in the show is more of “bad guy of the week” type stuff but they incorporate long arching plots that encompass the entire show over time
