Looks good. Some of the WB animated superhero films are really great. This one is promising.

I really like that they’re breaking Crisis up into multiple parts. Doing that in animation has always been the ideal medium for such a far reaching story. I just caught up with the Tomorrowverse, and while I don’t think it’s nearly as good as the DCAMU, Crisis has promise.
My hope is shite breaks loose at the end of this one, and then any subsequent films actually feature appearances from past animated iterations of DC characters. Preferably in their own unique art styles, which I find to be one of the best and most creative aspects of the Spiderverse movies.

My kids just recently got me and the mrs into the DC animation stories. They are so much better than the live action stuff. I need to catch up with the rest of the JL movies before this one comes out. I just finished up the Batman ones last week.

Its been a long time since I've read the comic version. I remember really liking it though.

The CW tried this.
What I don't understand is the animation stuff is compelling but they can't seem to translate into live action. It really should be easier to get a good live action movie out of this stuff.

Agreed. DC Animation is way better than most of the live stuff.

They really are and they've been at it for a good 15 years or so now. They've done some solid adaptations of some great books and fun ones like Batman vs the TMNT.

The CW tried this.

Could be ok. Judas Contract was ok.

They just released Part 3, and while it had some great moments and callbacks, some of the shout-outs fell flat or were even insulting. In the end this trilogy suffered from the same illness as the original comic series. We all know that it wasn't the end of a multiverse and the start of a coherent continuity. It's the "end" of a multiverse while we already have a different multiverse underway (Batman: Caped Crusader, Harley Quinn (Max series), My Adventures with Superman...).
It was nice to see them "wrap up" a series or two that had ended with no final chapter.

Watched all 3 parts. Felt like they could've cut an hour out of the trilogy.

I’ve been wanting to get into this with my son. What order do you watch them? Are they all kid friendly?

It's like reading the original comic series. You don't have to have an intricate knowledge of the DCU to enjoy it, but if you do have that knowledge you enjoy it on a much higher level.
ETA: And as for kid friendly, it's the death of Earth after Earth after Earth, so you're going to see the deaths of a lot of familiar characters (or versions of them).
