Yes. It was excellent. Did a great job not making the thrown together hit squad superheroes.

I’m shocked I had never seen this before, probably the only Spielberg movie I missed.

It’s immediately in my top 5 of his catalogue.

A lot of people shite on Munich, bit it's probably Spielberg's best film of the last 20+ yrs.

I also can't rave about the look of the film enough. The extended zooms and long lens shots just scream 1970s filmmaking. It worked to peefection. Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy also used these techniques to really emerse the viewer into the time.

If any of us get laid tonight, it's because of Eric Bana and Munich

How many of the actors are actually Jewish?

Based on a cursory Wikipedia search:

Eric Bana - Croatian/Australian - apparently not
Geoffrey Rush - Australian/German - apparently not
Daniel Craig - English - apparently not
Ciaran Hinds - Irish - apparently not
Mathieu Kassovitz - Half Jewish
Hans Zischler - German - apparently not
Mathieu Amalric - Half Jewish
Michael Lonsdale - Half British/Half French

I'm not one of those people who think you absolutely have to cast certain parts with an actor from the exact same ethnic/racial group. But nevertheless, mildly interesting that none of the key actors are of full paternal and maternal Jewish descent*. Would have thought Spielberg would have made a point to cast specific Jewish actors for the roles.

*Lots of "apparently not" because there's no way of telling for sure, depending on how far back you go in a person's family roots. But it's not recorded on Wikipedia, hence "apparently not."

It's good but the Robot Chicken parody was better.

Great film.

Also, check out Entebbe if you have not seen it. There is a young commando in the Israeli Defense Forces in the movie by the name of Bibi Netanyahu.

Excellent movie. It’s on the top shelf of my collection.

Eric Bana rarely disappoints.

Was Bejamin Netanyahu on the Entebbe raid? His brother, Jonathon was the field commander or co-commander and the only Israeli soldier killed. But I didnt know Bibi was on the raid.
