Lots of diminishing returns on the show, but the first few seasons are great television.

One of my favorites. You can really get into the characters and the comedy.

It kinda comes off as a Denis Leary fantasy at times.
One of the best scenes in the series is in Season 5 when Sheila gives a 5-8 minute monologue that is shot in a way where it seems like it’s one take. It’s really good.

Such a good show. Haven’t seen it in nearly 2 decades.
My favorite scene is them talking about who’s in their spank bank and Garrity accidentally lets it slip that Tommy’s wife (Janet) is in his. Then he tries to cover up in a panic saying he runs away into the arms of “Janet. Janet…..fer Aniston”
Then they get called to a building and Tommy’s 18 year old daughter walks out in her underwear and he turns to Garrity and says “I’m going to tell you right now, this better not go in the spank bank!”

First 5 seasons are great. I was not a fan of the 6th season and the 7th was meh but had a very good finale.
I feel like they had enough good ideas to make 6 strong seasons but stretched it out so the finale lined up with the 10th anniversary of 9/11
