Wow, unless I missed it, none of you guys have Godfather I or II as a top 10 favorite? Interdasting.

Contact would also be somewhere on my list.

Godfather I and II are two movies I can appreciate but probably wouldn't be in my personal top 10. Part 2 would probably be in my top 25.

This! Part 1 may be my favorite movie ever.

And Contact is the only movie i have ever walked out of the theater on. Not hating, everyone has their own opinion.

Gotcha, to each his own. II would be near the very top of my list. Remarkable they were able to combine essentially two movies, and do them both so well.

Hard to tell a person what should be his favorite movies.

Of the ten, TG,tB,atU (yes that's how I abbreviated it and yes it took me longer to do that than it would have had I just typed it out right, anywho), would be my favorite. I don't think you have any trash on the list. Risky Business being my least favorite and The Dark Knight and T2 rounding out my top three from your list. Watch you some more Pre-70's movies and get back with us.

i like really old movies, but i wouldnt say they crack my top 10...cuckoos nest was 1975, thought it was older than that but had to google it. the manchurian candidate is great. i also like king kong, the original one is amazing with the use of effects for its time

Also if I had to take one out of the top 10 it would have to be risky business, but that movie was surprisingly entertaining for me. the only part i ever knew of was tom cruise dancing around in his underwear so i assumed it was some kind of chick flick but i was way off, its a classic

So hard to choose, and subject to revision, but I'd now say:

Godfather 1 & 2
Star Wars Episode 5
Jaws I
Aliens
Raiders of The Lost Ark
The Thing (1982)
Contact
Shawshank Redemption
A River Runs Through it
Good Will Hunting

Nice list, brah

I'd probably switch out 4 for other movies, but I like every movie on your list and 5 of them would make my top 10-15.

Not once on the first page, and it wasn't surprising considering the usual opinions on this board
