Holy shite.

Wife made me watch it before the new one came out. I was going to stretch it out till then but I finished it in 3 days.

I’m not even a fan of horror but good lord that may have been the best thing I’ve ever seen on Netflix. I heard there was a book, is it worth a read?

Now go back and watch it again and see if you can spot all the ghosts Mike Flanagan hid in every episode.

Probably the coolest aspect of the show. Once you realize they are there, they become pretty obvious. Really good series. Can't wait for the S2

I’ve been thinking of watching this soon.

Like you I’m not expecting much but most everyone I know really likes it.

Does this have anything to do with the movie A House on Haunted Hill? 1999 version to be more exact.

Hill House is one of the best series I have watched in a while. Whole family enjoyed.

When Bent Neck lady jumped out the back seat of the car in Episode 6 or 7, i about jumped out the chair.

Season 2 is going to be different story supposedly

No. This is based on a Shirley Jackson book that was made into a bad 1999 movie called The Haunting of Hill House. A House on Haunted Hill is a different movie.

Yes season 2 is based on the book The Turn of the Screw by Henry James.

I’m a grown man. I audibly shouted when that happened. They really lulled me to sleep with their argument leading up to that.

And yes I noticed the ghosts during the funeral home episode where it was one long shot. It made me uneasy looking for them the rest of the time but what a genius way to make a scary show.

I screamed as well. I saw an interview where the she was told to jump earlier than it was supposed to be in the script.

They're going to do it anthology style like American Horror Story (just repeat of actors, but different story). And in this case they're following the story The Turn of the Screw but it'll be based at Bly Manor (the connection to the first season). I'm sure there will be other connections, especially since we saw the ghosts that inhabit that place.

The episode in the funeral home that was basically a theater production is one of my favorite episodes of tv in a long time.

I legit never noticed this and thought the show was creepy without it. Now I'm going to have to rewatch. Didn't know there would be a season 2, but I can't wait.

This has a slide show of hidden ghosts if anyone is interested. May contain spoiler. IDK I didn't read.

Actually, it was just called The Haunting. And it was the basis for the setting of Scary Movie 2
