Barely.....WWE was paying each Good Brother 750K/year to basically do very little.....I mean there are 20 mil people in the US that lost their jobs because of COVID-19.....it's only reasonable that some of them would be wrestlers

Okay WWE is better on the quarterly investor calls. Not sure why that would matter one iota to fans. I guess when your creative is awful and your in ring talent is kept in a box that's all you have.

Fair enough point, maybe the real conversation we should be having is how the United States structures its economy to benefit only a small few at the expense of everyone else.

So Page came into WWE with a fued against Undertaker in 2001.....I'm not sure how he thought that was gonna end but if it was anything other than Undertake standing over him then he was delusional.
Also he came up with the dumbass motivational speaker stuff.....I think Page was one of his own worst enemies for his initial WWE run.

I'm just unsure how an entertainment company that "isn't entertaining" makes damn near 1 bil/yr in revenue.

And who gave him the stalker gimmick, when every fan knew he was married to one of the hottest women in the business?

Well that is a different conversation.....but the ultimate answer is it has to be that way so the government has a segment of people that they prop up that they can depend on to be sheep.

Well they are going to great lengths to make sure they have live shows by hook or by crook because if they don't then know Fox will use that as an excuse to get out of the silly deal they signed.
You didn't bother attempting to deny how bad WWE creative has been the other day, why try now?

Not sure I'm sure he agreed to it but like I said no way he should have went right into a program with the Undertaker......he needed something where he could get over as an upper mid-card face when he first came into WWE.

Vince famously doesn't talk detailed creative with talent until they are signed.
Guy was over huge as a gritty people's champion type so lets bring him in and make him a creepy stalker? And oh he can't do the diamond cutter sign he was super well known for??

Historically it has been bad for the past few years but it is cyclical......it could be worse we could be watching a reboot of the Bullet Club/Chaos every year or so plus the same 3 story lines over and over with Okada, Tanahasi, and Ibushi...and then every once and a while we will get a disjointed Jericho or Moxley storyline....so yea there are some parts better than WWE....but WWE has plenty of storylines that are at least as good, or better, than NJPW.

And in doing so I don't have to watch silly sophomoric skits every few segments that are funny only to Vince, Bruce, and other 14 year olds.

Well it was the finisher for the biggest money draw of all time in wrasslin so I'm sure you understand that one.

Right but once signed in those days talent had a pretty good amount of input into their storylines.....they didn't have all the stupid writers they do now....it was basically Gewirtz, Prichard, and Vince

ahhhh now I see it.....another disgruntled attitude era watcher.....I was in that group as well....you can either choose to enjoy it for what it is today or stop watching ....I stopped for a long time but learned to enjoy it in my old age again.

None of whom had any axes to grind against guys who had never worked for them and were big stars in WCW at the height of the MWN, right?

Why would they have hired those guys and not wanted them to succeed.....that's just not good business.
ETA Also how did Booker T get over if what your saying is true?....same for Flair when he came in?....and Bischoff?.....I mean hell Bischoff was almost as over in WWE as he was in WCW.

Attitude era was nothing if not sophomoric 14 year old nonsense. I was 14 at the time though.
I would more rather 80's NWA at this point in my life. Just give me good wresting with more subtle characters and stories. Entertaining sport not sports entertainment.
And no I'm not watching Billy Corgan

Well the WBF wasn't good business either but that didn't stop Vinnie now did it.

Problem is that's not gonna draw 3 mil viewers on a Monday or Friday night.
