This GQ article has a long list of possibles.

Would be a great choice. I've been on the Theo James train since seeing him on the white lotus.

He does have look. He plays Americans so often, it's hard for me to think of him as British.
I'd actually be fine with Dev Patel, if they wanted something different. He's British and a hell of an actor. But the inevitable DEI discourse that would follow exhausts me in advance.

Brosnan was a fantastic Bond.

Is funny though, I recently rewatched The Newsroom and watching him play Neal, no way would you be thinking Bond.

Never heard of him. Looks like he’s more suited to be a figure skater than playing James Bond.

Actually he was going to take over the part but had to back out due to his contract with Remington Steele - that got us Timothy Dalton.
He was an amazing Bond. Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are excellent. The third is ok. The last movie was just awful and stupid - so they wanted a reboot.
Brosnan is my favorite Bond after Connery (and he's almost a 1a for me).
Remington Steele (which I liked) had been cancelled, so Brosnan agreed to be Bond. With the Bond buzz, the ratings for RS in summer reruns jumped so NBC changed its mind and would not let him out of his contract.*
This happened shortly before principal photography was about to start on The Living Daylights, so EON had to scramble for its lead and signed Dalton (who had been initially slated as Bond in the early 80s when it looked like Moore was going to retire after For Your Eyes Only).
Imagine Brosnan with The Living Daylights and License to Kill in his repertoire.
Damned shame.
*this move by NBC also fricked Stephanie Zimblest out of the role of Anne Lewis in the Sci-Fi hit Robocop, which went to Nancy Allen.

Well. He played Charles on The Crow.

Pierce could do Bond promoted to M.

I like that idea. Make Q a sexy lady scientist type like that assistant in one of the Brosnan movies.
He's gonna be a guy from tv or a streaming show that isn't well known. I'd also say in about three years

How many legendary IPs are they going to kill?

I feel that James Purfoy would have made a great Bond, but his chance has passed.
I don't know if he can pull off the gravitas of Bond but Egerton could possibly make a good 007.

The Gentleman basically felt like a Bond tryout for him. He can legitimately act though and can play an understated heartthrob too (he was great as the romantic lead early on in Persuasion on PBS). Theo James would be my choice since the Henry Cavill train has passed.

Edgerton is too young looking and too short. Aaron Taylor-Johnson would be a great choice. Cavill is still young enough to do a couple movies. Sam Claflin, Theo James, you need someone who at least looks like an adult and has some gravitas.

He is now but the next Bond isn't coming out tomorrow. In a few years, maybe he could grow into the role.

I dunno man, Craig was really too small to play Bond but he was stocky enough to look physical and he looked older. Edgerton is fresh faced and tiny. How are you going to put a supermodel on the arm of a 5-8 midget and not have it look awkward.?
