Correct. He was in Movie Jail from the early 2000s u til 2008, and even when Iron Man came along, it was crazy difficult for the movie to get insured due to the perceived risk.

The best thing to come of this is that we’ll no longer have to hear people pretend to give a frick about the Kang character. It was always a horrible choice to follow up Thanos with.
