Cool Runnings...one of the most effortlessly charming movies I've ever seen.

In its heyday that was a great show.

Speaking of SCTV, think of the quality that came from that show:

John Candy
Harold Ramis
Eugene Levy
Rick Moranis
Catherine O'Hara

+ Dave Thomas, Joe Flaherty, Martin Short, Andrea Martin.

The voiceover work he did in Heavy Metal was easily the best in that movie.

Off the top, Robin Williams and Tom Hanks. If either would've died after making Club Paradise or Money Pit you could've said the same thing but would've been dead wrong.

What I was trying to say is that comedic actors eventually move into drama as their comedy careers are winding down. Robin Williams hasn't been in a good comedy since Mrs Doubtfire and I can't even remember Tom Hanks last comedy. Look at someone like Jim Carrey who moved to drama, had some success but not huge, moved back to comedy and hasn't had a hit in a while. Even Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell have tried drama as their recent comedies have all been pretty bad. At least Sandler's movies still make money.
