Watching Uncle Buck had me reading alittle about John Candy. It's hard to believe that he died in 1994. It really doesn't seem like's been almost 20 years since. We can only wonder how many more great movies he would have been in.

No telling no many more movies he would have done with Steve Martin.

He made totally retarded movies like Armed & Dangerous and Summer Rental watchable. He could carry a movie and be an awesome sidekick.

We can only wonder if he would have lived longer into the 90's where comedic actors started getting more respect.

Saw his (Chris Farley) A&E biography. He was actually embarrassed by his last two movies and thought the studios were taking advantage of his draw.

Probably not many. His last few movies were bad and comedic actors don't usually have long careers in comedy. Not with good movies anyway.

meh, I thought he was pretty good in Cool Runnings and Canadian Bacon even if the movies themselves weren't exactly oscar worthy.

Would have liked to have seen him do more drama like JFK. He was pretty good in that.

Off the top, Robin Williams and Tom Hanks. If either would've died after making Club Paradise or Money Pit you could've said the same thing but would've been dead wrong.

There you go. When I think of Candy's dramatic potential I think of JFK and his monologue in Planes, Trains.

I really think he would've been one of the great one's.

Hard to believe he was only 43. I'm a huge fan.

Whenever Summer Rental is on, I have to watch at least a few minutes of it. I also loved him as Dewey Oxburger in Stripes. He was just a very funny, likeable guy.

Speaking of SCTV, think of the quality that came from that show:

John Candy
Harold Ramis
Eugene Levy
Rick Moranis
Catherine O'Hara
