Liked it, but she was the worst part of it.

Too far-fetched that when Harvey propositioned her, she was on the couch before he could finish his sentence?

Hey Jennifer-

Picture this though: You have a female lead from the poorest area of the country that takes part against the liberal, evil pink and blue haired people of the capital, that drink Ipecac so they can indulge in more food without being full. She then goes against the capital because she loved her family. Sounds pretty much like a conservative tale imo

Off topic but you’re missing one of the biggest themes: the citizens were unarmed and hence unable to defend themselves against the tyrannical government and jack booted thugs.

So crazy to me people know Cynthia Rothrock. I knew her so well. I used to do demos with her. There was one at marine world in probably 1988 where she and I “fought off” 10 guys in the show. I knew she made it big in Hong Kong. Had no idea she was as known as she is. Cool trip down memory lane for me. Thanks y’all!

ETA: got me thinking. She did a movie in the early 80s called “Paper Dragons”. I can’t find it anywhere. But I do remember she did “Fight to Win” with George Chung, my teacher. George did another movie around that time called “Hawkeye”. Awful movies. All of them. But I was in “Hawkeye.” So was Ronnie Lott.

Isn’t she that one chick who uttered that famous one-liner after that villain got his eye impaled on a meat hook?

“We’ll keep an eye out for ya, Stingray!”

“Yeah…SEE ya!”

Never thought of her that way. I was 8 or 9 and she was just Cynthia. I used to crash at her and George’s house. She used to tuck me in. Crazy.

I went with them when they had competitions. George was known For his “machine gun kicks.” If you google George Chung you can see him doing his routine. Dude was amazing. I hadn’t thought about her for 30 years. Just sent her an email. No clue if she will remember me. But I spent a lot of time with her.
