Leto also spoke about his Joker characters introduced in “Suicide Squad” and may or may not come back for more; there’s a rumored solo film in the works and a rumored aforementioned Snydercut appearance despite the Joker not being part of the original Joss Whedon-led version of “Justice League.” The actor said his new serial killer character Albert Sparma reminded him of the Joker a little bit.

“There are a few very few characters that you play that have absolutely no rules, you know, that you could just go to town,” he said of his iconic DC villain character. “[My ‘Little Thing’s character] Sparma reminds me a little bit of that character as well in that he’s just a little outside the box. He’s someone who says everything that he thinks, basically. And he always is surprising. He’s very playful. And I found him actually quite funny as well.” Leto added of Albert, “He could be a good guy or a bad guy, but he’s a fun guy!”

"I may or may not be in this; I’ve heard the rumors too,” he said coyly. “We’ll have to let Zack [Snyder] confirm or deny that one.” When pressed about whether he shot some scenes, he answered much the same, “I may or may not have shot something with Zack, but I love him, he’s just a maverick and an incredible filmmaker; we get along great and have great chemistry.”

Perhaps tellingly, he says, “I look forward to working with him again in the future. We have lots up our sleeves, Zack and I.” Again? Snyder’s technically never worked with Leto before (outside of the DC Films he’s listed as a producer on), so that might be the confirmation fans need. As for the “we have lots up our sleeves,” part, well, get to speculating, I guess.

He needs to return that Best Supporting Actor Oscar that he stole from Johah Hill, the rightful owner, for his work in The Wolf of Wall Street.

Zack Snyder is an incredible visual director. I will take that opinion with me till the day I die. He just can’t put together a good story to save his life.

His characters are usually flat and lack real emotion. The only characters he gets right are the dark ones like Rorschach that hate life and the world which is probably how he feels. What a great choice for Superman lol

I don't know if I would go as far to say incredible.

There are a couple dozen directors ahead of him, but he's like Top 30 or so.

Leto’s Joker was easily the worst Joker. Period.

He’s good at copying something Frank Miller already did.

I suspect that when we get to see the super duper amazing ultra cut... we will probably be reminded why no one was in tears when Snyder got replaced by "I'm now a hack" Joss Whedon.

I hate to pile onto the guy because he lost his daughter during all of this... but Superman and Batman v. Superman were the drizzling shits. They weren't just bad, they were offensively bad. They were "My God is a cruel God" bad. Every time you watch one of those movies you knock a year off anytime you might have spent in hell because you've already seen it and it holds no terror for you now.

I'm with you on that. Maybe let it rest for a while, how can we have two jokers operating at once. If they made a movie with both jokers (Leto and Phoenix), now they may have something there.

it get a lot of hate on here but it really is a good movie. If only they dint completely destroy the city at the end it would have been highly ranges as far as super hero movies go.

was the new WW any good?

DC has better animation imo, I like when they focus resources into that, if they were to make a Batman, Superman, Swamp Thing, etc with the same tone and talents as an Akira or ninja scroll id love it.
