It's truly amazing how far Disney has managed to cheapen Star Wars.

Obi Wan vs. Vader fight should be a summer blockbuster.

Everyone has their own opinion. Obi Wan wasn't that great of a 6 episode show to me...Mantoloking and Boba fett even the bad batch were better shows that had more depth

People with common sense knew when Disney bought it, they were going to suck every ounce of life out of it.
What used to make Star Wars cool was how controlled and mysterious it was. Now it’s pure money grab and social justice nonsense.

Too be fair, after what Lucas did with the prequels, I was glad at the time.

The premise should’ve been a $1B grossing movie. It blows my mind how badly Disney continues to fumble this franchise.

Star Wars isn't special anymore. It sustains itself solely off nostalgia from when it was special. It won't be an IP anyone gives a shite about in another 20-30 years.

Jurassic Park fricked Lucas up.
He got extremely lazy when he saw what could be done with cgi.
Had he been forced to make the films like he did in the 70s and 80s, we would have gotten better films.

What was woke about Obi Wan? I’m not even sure there was a lesbian couple in it. It was a decent show, but nothing special. I was high on it at first, but now that it’s over I was kind of “meh” at the end.

SW is practically patient zero for franchising , so you couldn’t be more wrong here. The amount of merchandise sold was astounding for the time.
Even into years after the originals, the Ewok spinoff, the Extended Universe books that were churned out, the video games, the Dark Horse Comics, etc.
After the prequels, they had the Clone Wars, Rebels was in development, etc.
That’s not control, at all.
