Ewan Macgregor was totally awesome. I was an extra in a scene of Big Fish and it was maybe 10 degrees outside, coldest I'd ever been. It was a scene where he rescued a dog from a burning house, and they kept having to do the scene over because the dog wouldn't cooperate, so we were out there for about 4 hours filming an 8 second scene.

The crew brought us all chicken soup to help warm us up and he stood here with us asking about where we were from, what we did, etc. Then he gave me his extra handwarmers and said "I get to walk through flames, you're the ones doing the hard work!"

Mine are pretty much sports folks:

Johnny Unitas: Dude was awesome. I was barefoot, cleaning out Gatorade coolers after a game and he walked right up and started talking to me and another guy. Asked how we were, how school was, and etc. Ran into him later at a banquet and was just as nice.

Deion Branch: Absolutely full of himself.

Reggie White: For as badass as he was as a player, he had the sweetest demeanor. And his high-pitched voice totally threw you off.

Rajon Rondo: Quiet, introverted kid. Nice guy though. Always seem to run into him at Kroger of all places when he's here in Louisville.

Super nice:
Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane-met them the weekend before Mardi Gras in the FQ. They stopped to talk to us for a while and loved new orleans. This was mardi gras 2007 I think.
Dermot Mulroney-super nice guy. Was at a friend's Christmas party this past year.
Jason Segel-really cool. In fact, he even invited some friends to stay at his house in LA. They took him up on it too. Cool as shite.
Shannon Tweed- at Voodoo. Very nice but I think she was pretty drunk
Anderson Cooper- in the FQ during Gustav. Very nice guy.
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman-at the old Lakeside theaters (not the mall theaters, but the 4 across the street by where the Schwegmann's was).Didn't, interact much with them, but they were very nice to the employees.

Haven't met many, but the ones I have were nice.

Spent the day with John Goodman and once with Vince Gill while being their escort during the James Burton Music Festival. Both were cool as hell. Vince and I played golf on base. Goodman MC'd th eshow once and the only thing on his rider was bottled water.

Micheal Jordan story:

I was working at Hooter's in Huntsville, AL in 94 when Jordan was playing for the Birmingham Barons. We closed at 11 on Sundays and at 11:05 or so the Barons buses pull up and asked if we could server them. They mentioned Jordan was with them.

We had already cleaned the grill but we fired the fryers back up and made them wings. Jordan sat at the bar. We didn't talk or anything. But he seemed pretty cool. Of course I was 18 at the time and he was kind of a big deal.

Anyway, CSB.

I ate with Kathy Griffin once in Afghanistan. She actually looked pretty good.

John Denver: Biggest Jerk EVER. He was a complete arse to my brother and me in Aspen. We were seated at a table eating lunch and told us to get out of our seats so he could have a place to sit down. Told us who he was and that we needed to get up so he could have a table.

Perfect Timing: We started smirking at him b/c we could see our father walking up to the table with his lunch.

Just when Denver began to raise his voice and was about to lose his cool with us, a former LSU Defensive Tackle shows up AKA "Dad" and tells Denver to shove off... He turned around, made a quick appraisal of the situation, and left with some amount of dignity...
My dad, "Who was that jerk?"
My brother, "That Muppets guy."

Yep. Ran into him a few times at Rupp (he's a big UK fan). Very down to earth.

Married a woman from Bogalusa. Has a house in Madisonville and New Orleans. He pretty much got on the Louisiana train after filming Everybody's All American.
