I'm right there with you. I think he ruins episodes and the dynamic between the rest of the cast.
It's like they never know how to fit him into an episode so they just let him be really loud, growly and weird. Driving me nuts

Watch the first season that Frank was on the show. His dynamic has completely changed. When he first came on the show, he was intelligent business man who ridiculed his stupid kids and brought a voice of reason to some of their escapades. Now, he is just a moron who way more out there than the kids.
Although Frank can be funny, I've never really felt that Danny Devito was anything more than a "Big Name" forced on the creators of the show to get it a little more exposure.

Difference of opinion I guess. I thought bringing Devito into the fold made it better. His slow but aggressive deterioration is great. I like how they have kept that theme up since he came in. Frank is an existential genius. Only wants to hit bottom.

Dont think Devito was on the first season. I remember reading a story about how he saw it, and loved it. Then went to the creators and became part of the cast. I agree on his transformation, but I think that's been on purpose. he started hanging with the gang, and has devolved down to their level.
