No Country was good, but the book destroys that movie.

The movie is a virtual word for word, scene for scene copy of the novel.

I agree, but I enjoyed the tension filled moments with Chigurh better in the book. Its hard for a movie to play on your imagination in a dark hallway or to capture the intentionally evil way he is talking to people. The movie was a good movie, well made. But i liked the book much better.

Yes, and some guy jumped on me for saying The Count of Monte Cristo. Book had no action, and I like the way the story went in the movie a lot better.

I'm not gonna jump on you, I'm a big believer of too each his own, but that book is one of my top 5 favorites. I didnt hate the movie or anything, but the book wasnt about action is a was a story of anger, revenge, torture, vengeance. The movie lost alot of character development. I didnt find myself caring much about him or his problems in the movie.

You know I've never seen the movie but I really like that book. I'm glad I was forced to read it in school

The book was WAY better than the movie. Dumas wrote that book to perfection. The Count of Monte Cristo movie was great, but didn't do as good of a job showing how much he mind fricked that guy when he got out of the prison.

Eh. It seemed like a pretty good 19th cent book to me. Lots of characters, lots of intertwining relationships, some pretty unbelievable parts.

I liked the angle that the movie took with Mondego and Dantes being friends, Mercedes having Dantes' kid, and Dantes and Mercedes winding up together.

Different styles of books, but there were so many names in the books it was hard to keep up with.

Haven't read the book goodfellas is based on, but I'd imagine the movie is better since Goodfellas is one of the greatest films ever made.

I prefer the book. It has the Zoo of Death. There is no Zoo of Death in the movie.

Meh. It was an okay book, but the movie was much better. I did like the Marla keeping her dead mother's fat in the fridge part of the book, though.

The Two Towers was a partial birth abortion of the story line.
