I don't think they hold a candle to how obnoxious the game of thrones tards were this final season, although I'm sure there's lots of crossover.

Good fiction attracts fans. Fans enjoy good products and reward products with loyalty. When said product changes and becomes no longer up to their standards, fans get upset.
While some will argue that fans have impossible standards, does anyone really defend the last season of GOT as being as great as previous seasons? We can all see the quality dropped off, same with Star Wars. Bad movies/episodes upset fans of those franchises.
If you don’t want to read their complaints, then stay off the forums where they vent. Just like if you hate hearing dumb hot takes on Lebron and the Dallas Cowboys stop watching ESPN. Obviously, if you spend time on movie/tv message boards, you’re going to read rants about movies and tv shows. I never once saw anyone in real life getting emotional about these works of fiction. Stop looking for hot takes so you can be offended by hot takes.

This board didn't tolerate posters who made everything about politics until one of the Star Wars movies did something to piss people off. Since then every thread has serious posts about agendas, or whatever. I think 3/4 of the current posters on here came here after that movie. If they were here before it, that movie, or Trump/politics in general, changed them to something unrecognizable by me.
I miss the days me being able to come complain about there being four threads about the latest Terrence Malick movie, none of which reached page two. It was my God given right to come poke whoever posted the new thread with links to three other threads from that month, that I'd also replied to in the same way. I bet those guys really miss that.

It's difficult to say who the actual "fans" are anymore. TLJ, and Ryan Johnson's comments on twitter, set off a beacon for political conspiracy theorists on both extremes to claim the Star Wars turf for themselves.

All you had to do, was explain to the directors to stay with lore, create some furry animals, some gimmicky toy that they will buy up in droves, and you will print money.
Instead they brought on a dickbag, in Rian, who didn't like Star Wars and wanted to recreate it, in his mold.
Star Wars fans are the easiest to make $$$$ off of, and keep happy. Just give them a Star Wars movie, and they will love it, and throw their money at it.
The fact Hasbro never lost money on toys, till these last 3 movies, proves even more, that Iger is incompetent.
Kathleen Kennedy would of been shitcanned after Rians debacle of a movie, if Disney gave a shite.
Star wars fans are like fans of fallout/skyrim,etc. Just give them what they want and don't frick with them. And you make $$$$$$$$$$$ and they are happy and continue throwing $$ at you, years down the line.
