He's a good actor, not a great one. But Brad Pitt is arguably a bad actor yet has been a star for 30 years simply due to his looks

The fact that he dated both Bar Refaeli and Gigi Hadid given the current situation with Israel/Palestine is kinda funny

Looks like he has two flops in row with Killers of the Flower Moon (how did they ruin that story?) and now One Battle After Another (yes it is going to flop) so his run as a mediocre actor who made good decisions on roles in the past may be over. Always thought of him as a poor man's River Phoenix anyway.

Killers of the Flower Moon was nominated for everything including best picture
And One Battle After Another is 100% the front runner for Best Picture

Not a very good movie.

What does that have to do with anything? They are both flops and Killers was massively so.

If it’s nominated for best picture or wins it, it’s not a “flop”

Honestly I find him way more entertaining and at his best when he plays the extreme, like Django, Wolf of Wall Street, Once Upon a Time vs Revenant, Blood Diamond, etc. though he’s incredible in all of them.
To answer OP, I think it depends on what you want out of Hollywood and stardom. I think if you want to be in more films like Leo, with the awards and accolades, I’d say yes 100%
But if you want to be in more blockbuster and summer action flicks and be just as famous but without the awards, I would say it’s Tom Cruise. Both have dominated their respective lanes

What? You can't get paid in prestige (and today's award shows are hardly that anyway). It is whether the movie made money and Killers lost about 250M. One Battle is going to lose money too. It is hard to pick your own movies when you become box office poison. Not saying Leo is there yet, but he is on a 2 movie losing streak.

Its made 100 million dollars. That's already 25 million more than PTA's highest grossing film (there will be blood). They knew what they were doing when they made this budget.
You don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Just to be clear, I haven't seen it and don't plan to see it in the theater. But weird shtick. And also has nothing to do with the question asked in this thread

It needs about 350M to break even and will not get there.

Do you think the studio, knowing in PTA's long career his highest grossing film was 76 million dollars, was going to double or quadruple that?
You really don't get how this works

The thing with DDL is he only makes a movie every 5 to 8 years. It'll be neat to see the ratio of movies from each these three listed to DDL movies. Plus it would be interesting to see how much money their body of work has made. Seems Tom Cruise cranks one movie out each year. And they make money. I bet TC is hardest working actor in Hollywood.
DDL is like the expensive classic car, in storage that only gets driving once in a blue moon.
