Between marketing and distribution costs on a film envisioned as a tent pole like this, I figure there really isn’t a way to salvage this.
Grosses would be crap and spending money to make prints and advertise it is throwing good money after bad.

Seems to be a history of shite like this with Warner.
The AOL merger circa 2000 helped kill a bunch of shows and companies under the Warner logo including WCW, which was sold for a pittance after losing its time slot.

If I was black I feel I'd be annoyed that instead of creating new things, they have to adjust existing stuff to pander/cater.

This seems like a ploy to “shelve” it and have it create a sort of aura/curiosity in the comic book realm so that it has pent up demand and “excitement” (even if to laugh at it) in a few years.
Take the “L” now and make more $$$ later rather than release it and it be the next chick Ghostbusters flop

They are going to test the gender-bender market and rebrand it "BatThem". From the studio execs' perspective, the problem wasn't "Go Woke; Go Broke", the problem was that it didn't go far enough!

Wow. The Batgirl suit is slightly forgivable in that she doesn’t have the resources that Wayne does. It probably should invoke retrofitted and modified motorcycle clothing that’s a bit rough around the edges.
But if that’s Batman’s suit in this movie, is it not also his suit in the upcoming(?) Flash movie?

There aren't any set photos of his suit in The Flash. I'm assuming they could have tweaked it, they put way more money into The Flash than they did Batgirl, for obvious reasons.
