Naw cause this movie had more than two white people in it. Give it a rest. It's one thing to be racist. It's another to be stupid about it.

why didn't Dr. Strange at least attempt to conjure up a time loop

Maybe he did

Maybe the time gem he handed over isn't the actual time gem.

You literally just said that a movie with majority black characters was subpar because it had majority black characters.

But you're totally not a racist.

Trump was so right to purge the GOP.

The only problem with Black Panther was the final showdown fight...

This movie didn't have that problem...

It was a wild ride all the way through...

This would be somewhat sensible analysis if there were tons of mostly black superhero movies out there. But the risk in Black Panther was in producing the movie.

Wait until there is a movie about a black superhero team before you start making such comparisons.

Except Thanos used it and it worked perfectly.

Doc Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme. Perhaps he could conjure up a reasonable facsimile that would work well enough for Thanos to activate the gauntlet.

The whole thing is a little murky since Thanos was basically out of it for a stretch after he activated the gauntlet.

Someone tell me-

did Strange pull Thanos into the Mirror Dimension (or at least try to), during the fight?
It kind of looked like that.

Did Thanos blast out of it?

Is the whole movie beyond that moment just a mindfricking of Thanos, to let him play out his desire and see where it would lead?

I'm getting the feeling that was Strange's move; although it does seem like Thanos did stay in the "real world".

It had better not be some dream sequence or illusion cop out.

That Thanos wakes up after being blasted by Thor and everything is just the way he wants it makes me wonder if this is the actual reality or just the one Thanks has been tricked into believing is real.

I just got home from watching it.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. It seemed long but not as long as it actually is.

Decent comedy in it and Thanos makes a great villain. The post credit scene was really cool, I thought.

I was surprised that there wasn't more Hulk though.

Yep. Strange faded away. I think it's clear that he saw the only way to victory was for him to give up the stone willingly, because after he did so Thanos said he would spare half of his planet.

I thought Stark earned that much for Earth by putting up the fight he did.

I liked how Thanos interacted with the various heroes. He wasn't a blathering Power Rangers villain, he calculated everything he did, and respected his foes. He simply would not be swayed by them, because he "knew better".

I think Strange saw this, and saw the only hope they had was Thanos himself. He had to be pushed, and then when he won, he will need to consider if it was really the right move, or not.

My take is that Thanos is the last of his kind, and he really did think he was doing the right thing. And that perhaps, he will now see that there was still good in the universe, and that he didn't need to blast it in order to save it. In a different setting, he would seem to gladly share company with Thor, Stark, and the others (Scarlet Witch in particular).

I have no doubt Thanos won. But did he win the way he thought he did.

In the Infinity War comic the villain gathered the stones and activated the gauntlet. But his victory-in a rather nicely done manner- wasn't what he thought it was.

She was really good.

I agree and didn't think about the other poster's comment about Dr. Strange possibly messing with Thanos tricking him into thinking it's reality.

He said, "he'd watch the sunrise on a new galaxy" or something like that. But the Infinity Gauntlet was still damaged in that scene and he still had signs of the battle with Thor. Yet everything else was fine. Maybe it was a combination of the Thor fight and whatever Dr. Strange did.

It's really cool but you have to know what you're looking when it ends.

Just got out of it and I liked it a lot. I was surprised that they had the balls to pull the trigger on some of the deaths that they did when they did them.

I understand a film like this is a little bit hard to pace, once we were with a team long enough I wanted to go back to another team. I wouldn't knock any points for that though.

I did thoroughly enjoy thanos's first fight in the movie with Hulk in that he fought like a pure pugilist.

I enjoyed it. Dark ending. I guess Captain Marvel to save the day.
Black people in theater were pissed when T'challa died. Lol

It was action packed, non stop. Great quips thought too.
