What do you have against Cap? Or is it a Chris Evans thing?
I just find him to be one of the least interesting characters in the group.
Wow. I'm not even a captain America guy but come on. There couldn't be an avengers without cap. He is the moral compass

The man in question, Peddapasupula Baasha, 43, had been watching the movie in the Indian city of Proddatur, in the state of Andhra, and was found by staff after they assumed he had stayed in the cinema to watch the post-credits scene.

The "moral compass" isn't that important to me. When he isn't making a joke about being from a different era ("I got that reference"), he's just super boring to me.

Hes Mr. Perfect. Maybe he just makes you insecure because he literally has no flaws.
I think it's pretty fricked that Hawkeye wasn't in the movie but maybe he'll be in the next one

How many people do you think know about the character? It's not a mainstream character.
Who knows. They should make a movie that tells the character's story.

Apparently someone made a site that keeps track of your browsing and tells you if you would die or be spared by Thanos. I was spared by Thanos: https://www.didthanoskill.me/

I was spared as well.
I notice someone commented that there aren't a lot of threads up on IW yet.
I see that it's had crazy sales and attendance, but I'm finding that a lot of people IRL haven't seen this yet.
I think we're all still awed by the massiveness of the movie, I haven't seen much breakdown (why did this happen etc) yet. At least, not here. I get the feeling that will come, this really did check all the boxes.

The ending gets all of the attention. It takes time (and maybe multiple viewings) to start digging beyond that.

Because it was made by people who knew what the frick they were doing. Who cares about a random plot hole when everything is done so fricking well?
You know a movie that has as many plot holes as a Roland Emmerich movie? The Dark Knight. Every other scene contains one that should drive you nuts. But you don’t care, because there are good characters, great drama, everyone behind the scenes are busting their arse, and it’s very entertaining.
The Last Jedi is condescending as frick and shits all over the audience and source material. That’s why we make 10,000 threads pissed off, but are in awe over this. It completely respected it’s audience and their intelligence, and it’s one of the most ambitious films ever made.

^^ this
There are some minor nits here and there, but they are trivial compared to how well everything was put together period. Then factor in that this was a huge ensemble cast where everyone needed screen time, and got it + paid it off -- that's tough to go against.
They had a 10 year setup, and did a helluva job paying it off in pt 1.
Thankfully pt 2 comes out next year.
Do we think they will add an Adam Warlock, or will his role go to someone else? I think it's a bit hard to add another character at this point -- Captain Marvel excepted in that she has a movie a couple months before pt2.

Warlock has at least been introduced (kind of). Every being in the universe has been affected. So I could see him playing a big role.
