FYI … The character of Whitney is directly drawn from the real life person …Jan Marsalek.
In fact, the entire story of Tender is largely ripped from the real life story of Wirecard, a German payment processing company that was setting up fake subsidiaries in Asia.
There is a very good book called Money Men about it written by a reporter from the Financial Times who covered it. He’s a lot like the reporter in this season, except he didn’t die. He did get temporarily suspended.

Is it implied that Hailey is also underage? I didn’t think that at first but why else would the 3some being filmed be that bad?
I’m not sure where you are, but in any publicly listed company, the CEO having sex with an executive assistant will get them terminated with cause. It will also pretty much preclude them from holding a c-suite position at any other publicly traded firm.
Top that off with the tawdriness of the fact that it was a threesome with his wife eating his cum out of another woman’s vagina, and the fact that it might come to light she was a prostitute.
My only argument for it not being a big deal is the fact that he’s probably headed to prison for fraud anyway.

My wife and I have watched season 1 episodes 1-4 and we're not too hooked. Should we continue?
The office stuff is a bunch of financial jibber jabber and the out of office stuff seems too much like a teen drama.

The dude playing him is a good actor. Was also good in The Handmade's Tale.

This season has been so elite
Whitney really is fricking over Henry so hard . And the scene in the office where it all crashes down as the temp says Yas resigned and Whitney left his phone in his office ,,, just perfect television.

After watching last night, I am just putting two and two together. The guy who catches Whitney trying to make an escape was the guy who went back to the apartment with Rishi and the reporter right?
Also was he trying to kill the reporter or just turn the music up so loud as to get them busted with drugs and throw him off the scent ?

Industry hails from Bad Wolf; season four has been averaging 1.7 million viewers per episodes thus far, a 30 percent improvement on season three. The penultimate season’s finale releases March 1 at 8 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max.

For four seasons, Industry has thrilled us while examining power, money, politics, and class. Under Mickey and Konrad’s ambitious and singular vision, it has solidified itself as an important contemporary, genre-bending drama in HBO’s lineup that keeps viewers on the edge of their seat week after week,” Orsi said. “It is gratifying that viewers and critics have recognized season four as bigger and more thrilling than ever, buoyed by career defining performances from our magnificent cast. Alongside the amazing team under executive producer Jane Tranter at Bad Wolf and executive producer Kathleen McCaffrey at Little Gems, we are so proud we can announce the fifth season of this terrific show, which Mickey and Konrad have decided will take us to the end of Industry’s story.

I’m pumped
Wonder if they wrote the finale with cliffhangers or wrote it to be closed off in case it wasn’t renewed ?
Guess we will find out Sunday night

I’ve been behind all season and finally caught up. Oh man, Kit Harrington, Marisa Abela, and Ken Leung have put on masterclass performances all season. They really deserve some award recognition for this.
I was hesitant at first that we were going to concentrate on Tender the whole season, but I was wrong to question it. Whitney is such a great villain. Could use a little more Kal Penn though.
I’m glad to see they are going out on their own terms next season. I’m holding out hope we see Eric again. Or maybe Rob.

Kit Harrington
I’ve been most impressed with him. The others have proven in past seasons they’re fantastic actors
Kit has been able to find something really in his wheelhouse and excel. It gets the jon snow stigma/typecast away and he is doing so good. I hope he is rewarded for his performance.
It really is about finding a great fit above all and this role suits him perfectly .

“For some time now we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high. Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party. We’d like to thank our evangelical fan base, especially those who have watched from day one. Finally: we owe everything to our crew and the best cast on TV for making our writing live. The characters will live on because of their world class performances.”

Finale drops an hour early tonight at 7pm CST

Solid finale
Yasmin going off the deep end running her harem of underage prostitutes. Yikes.
That convo with Lord mostyn and Henry about the Russians was very ominous… the scene in the boat, I thought Henry was about to get got there at the end.
Good for sweatpea to get her bag.
Hate we have to wait til 2028 for the final season if it says on the every other year trajectory

Where do you think the next season is going to go? To me, it looks like the writers are setting it up for Harper to take down Yasmin, but with Yasmin transitioning into politics I’m not sure how that’s going to happen. Can’t be another season of a Harper successful short and a Yasmin reckoning but positive(in terms of her status as a player) pivot
