But a lot of the hate it is getting here is off target and assumptions
But the alts on this board are the only people I've seen say they like the movie.

Audience score is 89%. That's the one that matters.

Well I have literally seen 50 or so posts about this movie pop up on my fb feed and not one single bad review about it. RT can suck a big fat dick

same, all my buddies that love Indy have seen it and were very pleased. Said it's a good sendoff and nonstop action.
I'm taking my kids Monday and they can't wait.
I don't understand people ripping other people for liking things. What does it have to do with you? So what if people like it? God forbid you form an independent opinion on something that goes against what the posters on TD think.

If around 90% of people really like the movie it should make a lot of money

Oooooh - you might get called a Karen on here from legacy TD members if they don’t agree with something you support

‘The Flash’ had like 85% audience score.
‘The Little Mermaid’ had a 95% audience score.
Audience score doesn’t mean a movie will be a financial success.

We just got back from watching the film and we liked it. It wasn't perfect but entertaining. I'm giving it a B-.
The two things that I felt diminished the film a bit was it ran a little long in some scenes like the train and the time at the college.
Indian Jones films must have solid practical effects to work best. The first 3 Indiana Jones films were filmed on location with great landscapes, enough extras, and the use of practical effects to sell the scene and comparing the train scene DoD to Last Crusade it literally night and day. This film used CGI pretty heavily which took away from the experience a little bit.
The Phoebe Waller-Bridge character didn't bother me. She was a very similar to "Vash" in Star Trek TNG for those that remember Picard's part-time girlfriend. She was also as head strong and Miriam.
They did a great job on de-aging Harrison Ford but his voice didn't match up as you could tell it was the voice of 80 Y/O Ford.
The overall story was fine. Nazi's and Indiana Jones go together like Biscuits and Gravy. They also did a good job of explaining why Indy and Miriam's son wasn't in the film.
As I said, it was entertaining.

Which implies the audience score doesn't represent people liking the movie. Powerful corporations (e.g Disney) have the power to manipulate the audience scores.
That's the only rational explanation really. Barring some weird outlier well publicized movies people actually like will predictably make money.
Whatever the mechanism, audience scores for The Flash, Little Mermaid, and Dial of Destiny aren't being accurately reported.

Gotta give it a rest. If that were the case EVERY movie by WB, Disney, Fox, etc would have positive reviews. And they don’t.
Reviews simply don’t equal success. Flash was never going to be a success, even if it were good. Everything leading up to it has been negative.
The Little Mermaid, my wife said it was good. But its more or less the same movie as the cartoon you can still watch on Disney+ or home video. Which has to hurt its sales. At this point the only live action movie significantly different from the cartoon was Mulan. Whats the rush in seeing it in the theater? You aren’t gonna get the plot spoiled. I feel like people are just willing to wait for streaming to watch a remake.
The audience score just indicates that XX% of people thought the movie was a 6/10 or higher.

When this board wants to like a movie and critics hate the movie movie and audiences love it, it’s because critics are woke and pretentious.
When this board wants to hate a movie and audiences love it and critics are lukewarm on it, it’s a corporate conspiracy.
Don’t verified users get verified via ticket purchases?

You just implicitly admitted that the Flash movie wasn't good even though the audience score is high.
I appreciate your unintentional admission of reality. The truth is a good thing.

No. I haven’t seen it. And I have no urgency to see it. I plan to when it streams. And I didn’t give an opinion on that movie.
The 80% rating doesnt make it an 8/10. It just means 80% of the people who saw and reviewed it say it is a 6/10 or higher.

That’s not what he said at all. You omitted his next sentence which explained why even if Flash was good, people may not go see it. There’s a lot of backlash over the lead because of his off screen behavior

I haven’t seen it but I don’t intend to in theaters. I didn’t think we needed another Indiana Jones property at this point. That said, I haven’t shite all over it either. Just didn’t think it was necessary.
If it’s good/decent, I’ll catch it when it makes it to streaming.

His following sentences are:
The Flash is not a Disney product. The argument about the LM seems silly to me anyway.
Every blockbuster is rapidly available on streaming nowadays. But there are still blockbusters.
