So Rush Hour 3 cant really hold a candle to the first two, but damn I’ll sit down and watch Chris Tucker/Jackie Chan all day everyday when it’s on.
You got Chris Tucker killin it with all time one liners, Jackie Chan’s cool arse stunts. We got black on Chinese jokes at every turn and vice versa, I feel like we’ll never get these movies goin forward with pc culture. All time classics if you ask me, Chris Tucker screaming during action scenes will always get me rolling on the floor.
The credits bloopers are top notch too.
CARTAH! LEE!

Rush Hour is one of the most underrated movies of all-time. Dead serious.

Especially 1 and 2.

For one?
Carter:
No, for two, I'm here for a meeting with Mr. Juntao.
Waitress:
I'm sorry I do not know Mr. Juntao.
Carter:
Look maybe you don't understand, I'm Mr. Juntao's lawyer, legal advisor, he got into some shite again and he told me to come down here and I'm a very busy man, ain't got time to be down here this late but I'm down here, my wife want me to come home, my baby is shittin' all over the house, he needs diapers, would you please go get Mr. Juntao?

“I want to know what it’s like to be an American. I want to know what it’s like to kill for no reason”
ETA: these are definitely a movie franchise that have slipped into the ether of popular culture.

So true. I have loved the Rush Hour 1 & 2 since they first came out, but they gained more sentimental value in recent years. My fiancée is Chinese-American, and they are her dads favorite movies. He and I bonded by sipping Maotai and watching Rush Hour.

These movies are great! And I forgot Ari Gold is in the second one

Does anyone know why Chris Tucker basically disappeared after the Rush Hour franchise? I understand he is kind of a one trick pony, but there are a lot of people in comedy like that who continue to get plenty of work.

Based on the outtakes in the Rush Hours, he sure seems to have a real hard time remembering his lines. Maybe film makers decided they didn't want the frustration?

There’s a couple different explanations:
1. Chris wanted to unofficially retire from filmmaking so he listed his minimum rate as the highest in the business so no one would book him.
2. Chris is actually a conservative who tried to blow the whistle on some of the crazy satanic sex cult shite that drives the industry and got blackballed as a result.
My money is on number 1.

Not in my book. I him have so highly rated that he'd be overrated for a lot of people.
The Drunken Master movies are the GOAT.

Shanghai Noon is another fun buddy action comedy With Jackie Chan, but still not as great as Rush Hour. The chemistry between Carter and Lee was so perfect that you could drop those two characters into basically any movie situation and it would be comedy gold.
Carter: He said Gondor calls for aid!
Lee: CARTER!
Carter: I know you pony boys know what a signal fire looks like!
Lee: Turn around!
Carter: Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?
Lee: CARTER!!!
Carter: WHAT!?
:orcs attack:
Carter: I did NOT leave the LAPD for this!
:kung fu stuff:

I really enjoy his older work. He was doing all the crazy stunts on sad budgets.
Him and Bruce Lee have done so much for chinese cinema. Maybe Jackie even more, as he has had more time.
Jackie Chan is the Chinese Kurt Russell imo
Hea been around forever for a reason, and he can do action, drama, suspense and comedy.
ETA
And he can sing.
