The 1st 3 years of Cheers were brilliant comedy, then they started the cameo appearances by celebrities, that is always a sign of 'low on material'.

Traveler or Surface

I think Surface could have been amazing for another 3-4 seasons, but Traveler needed just one more season to sum up what happens, they just ended it leaving everything untied.

He renacted the scene from the episode where they host a radio telethon to save the Max and Slater saves the day
