Black Panther 2, Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 all grossed more domestic than The Batman.

Deadpool and Wolverine doubled it.

Maybe wait until DC has one successful movie to start your victory parade. That might help them start digging out of their hole.

Agreed...while Marvel isn't the juggernaut it once was, this narrative that they're done is just silly. Other studios would kill for those box office numbers.

They do need to be more selective with their projects moving forward. Audiences aren't just showing up to any crap they throw out anymore

Are you dumb?

The only movies that were prior to the announcement the DCEU was being killed are,

1984 - COVID / direct to
TSS - COVID/direct to streaming

The rest came after everyone knew they didn’t need to see the rest of the films

Yeah im not even saying marvel is as strong as it has been but even if superman does great it would be like the Rockies talking shite to the Mets after winning 3 games in June to bump their record to 12-53 while the Mets are sitting at 42-24

thanks for making my point for me.

They were doing so badly they had to kill it off

The M-she-U is trash and eyeroll-inducing. Every single one of their properties has been corrupted by DEI nonsense

Have fun with black female iron man, black male Cap without any superpowers, and tranny loving F4 Reed Richards who is entirely overexposed as an actor.

The only thing that can somewhat help them is if they pivot to Cavill as Wolverine and lean on that

Not necessarily. The rest of the films underperformed that badly because it was announced they killed it.

Not to say the prior films didn’t suffer due to studio interference and the GA doesn’t like dark tones of JL.

At least DC doesn’t rely on recasting every hero as black and/or female to make a movie

What's funny about the DC argument is that their most successful movie recently, by a LONG shot, was "The Batman" - the one movie that has NOTHING to do with the DCCU.

When 4 movies, including one with a Trinity character (Wonder Woman) gets their asses kicked by DC League of Super Pets (admittedly a fun movie, but come on), it's time to REALLY reevaluate everything.

Yeah, that’s exactly what they did hence the 1 billion projection for Superman

Why are yall focused on a continuity that is dead?

How do you know this won't happen with the DCU? Gunn is a very liberal person, and a poster here recently brought Tom King to my attention. You should look him up

It definitely could and I’ll turn on them when they do it, just like I turned on Star Wars when Disney did what they always do

Right now, DC is full of “cis” white alpha male energy without forced DEI narratives, and I hope the trannies cry about it. A lot.

Hey i saw it COULD reach a billion, not that that was the projection.

I hope it does get there because that would be good for more movies being made

I'm not. It remains to be seen if they REALLY realigned or this is just a shiny new wrapping over the same crappy stories.

I hope it isn't. The trailer definitely seems to indicate it won't be.

On a side note, the most recent trailer for Peacemaker seems to indicate it's all connected (considering Peacemaker is from The Suicide Squad, and in season 2 during a tryout it includes the Guy Gardner played by Nathan Fillion.)

Of course, that adds a whole new twist considering that Fillion played TDK in TSS, but considering Peacemaker is never on screen with TDK no real chance of him "recognizing" him.

Just wondering. Where in the trailers are you seeing "race" at all. I just rewatched both trailers. There was literally no mention to race at all.
Also, where are you seeing that she is supposed to be better and smarter than Tony. They've called her a genius who is enrolled at MIT. So far with her character, they've made no mention to Tony, and certainly haven't implied that she is smarter than him.

Miles is loved because he is his own thing. He doesn't try to cuck Peter and because the comic writers actually know that getting rid of Peter Parker is a death wish.

The first Spider verse movie was a hit despite Peter dying in the first 20 minutes.

It 100% will.

Maybe not the 1st few major releases, they got to rope in the straight male audience first.

Once they figure "those guys will show up for anything" we'll get some Ironheart/Batwoman bullshite.

Tom King kills comics, he will kill this.
