I figured you would take offense to that, but you are annoyingly blowtastic over average shows. Your hyperbole is tremendously annoying at times. But it's kinda your thing around here, so no harm really. But in the episode thread last night, you called the episode "epic," "freaking hilarious," posted about 30

I think this season has shown Parker and Stone being way more satirical while sacrificing jokes. I think that in a few years these episodes will be funnier.

I'm not being an a-hole to CP3, at least not intentionally. He's just passionate about the shows he likes (like SP or Scrubs), and he's over-the-top gay for them. And that's fine...like I said, no harm really in that...the hyperbole just gets aggravating sometimes.

I laughed my arse of at some of the episodes last season, and I think the crack-baby basketball episode might be one of my favorites ever.
It does seem like they're starting kind of slow so far this year, but I have no doubt we're getting a gem soon.

I liked it as well. I don't understand people who think it's completely fallen off...there have been some great episodes in the last season or two. SP has been one of the most consistent shows in history. Sure, some of them are misses, but even most of the misses still generate laughs from me. And I don't just like something or laugh at something because it is nostalgic for me.
I agree that there are some people (like CP3) on here that think every show is the funniest thing they've ever seen, and those people are just as annoying as the haters of the show sometimes. But overall, SP's humor hasn't really changed that much, so maybe people who hate it now are the ones who have changed.
I completely agree Cocomo, not every single episode is fantastic but there's always at least a couple laughs and more often than not the episode is pretty entertaining. I'd argue that the last couple seasons overall have been the best stretch of good episodes in several years so I don't get those that say it's not good anymore.
I think the humor has changed in that they almost always make fun of some recent news story as opposed to having random adventures like in the early years. But one note my friends and I did make last night is that Cartman is and always has been an a-hole, but he makes the show.
A big complaint about Family Guy (that I agree with) is that Stewie has gone from being this evil, maniacal baby bent on world domination to Brian's gay sidekick. I think Cartman is proof that you don't have to change the character to keep him fresh. FG would be substantially better imo if the old Stewie returned for good

He's right. Most of you get defensive because of nostalgia. There's some good bits scattered here and there, but it's mostly flat and lifeless.
OR, and I know this has an extremely low probability of being true, but maybe just maybe not everyone has your exact tastes and could honestly still find the show insightful and funny.
Hard to fathom, I know.

I told him this last night, and he was all like
It's no big deal, he's an over exaggerator. I wish I can enjoy insanely average episodes of Happy Endings as much as he does.

Nah, we're just being up front about what we all see. CP3 is a good M/TV contributor aside from his excessive use of emoticons, he enjoys many of the same shows we all like and is probably a good person. he just finds every joke really funny.
