Is it worth getting?

I have prime, Netflix, Disney +, and HBO max. Is it worth it?

I'm about ready to cancel Netflix and get Hulu just for Always Sunny.

I love it.
All of the FX shows (always sunny, archer, etc)

Friggin Dredd is on it.

Superstore and 30 rock are funny

Killing Eve

They have pretty good choices in 90s movies.

Letterkenny is rewatchable as hell.

Some good docs are pretty good : Story of Bourbon, ramen heads

I have HULU for watching live tv and the wife watches Real Housewives and that stuff. I pay extra for the ability to record so I can skip commercials. It's pretty good.

I started a Hulu free trial last night just to watch Justified.

Hulu has an elite TV line up

Movies are meh but they usually have a couple gems mixed in

Turn off Netflix for a month and plug Hulu in and see if you like it. Costs you nothing really

I like it and think it's worth it. It's mainly about preferences, you can always check out a site like reelgood (there are several others, but this is the app I have) to see what programs they have tied to it. Oddly enough, they do not show Justified on Hulu, but it's there.

Wife & I just finished the series less than 2 weeks ago. She missed a few of the episodes from Season 1 and wanted to go back to watch them. She's now almost finished Season 2 and can't turn it off.

It’s better than Disney plus. Depends on what your interest are if it’s better than the others.

I’ve had it, but not the premium version. Just the free that comes with the Spotify premium for students.

I rarely use it because it’s UI is so much hot garbage and they refuse to make it better.

What I love about Hulu is the movies they recommend based on my viewing history. Most of the time they're titles I've never heard of and I almost always enjoy the movie.

Agreed.

As others have said, they’ve got a good TV lineup but a meh selection of movies.

However, their UI/UX is terrible and they’ve got fundamental issues with their streaming tech, at least on the non-premium version (no experience with premium).

I’ve been experiencing an issue forever where at roughly the 15 minute mark of a ~23 min show it will hit an break and then automatically skip to the next episode. When I go back to the episode I was watching that interrupted, it picks up about 5 minutes prior to the stopping point. After having watched a few ads when I was interrupted, I’m then subjected to another ad break when I try to pick up where I left off.

I got it as part of the bundle with Disney+ and ESPN+, but wouldn’t pay for it standalone under any circumstance.

Hulu’s interface looks top of the market compared to prime, so that shouldn’t be a huge road block for the OP

Hopefully not too personal, but what do you pay monthly for your entertainment services?

My wife and I have xfinity, I love the service and everythign about it except for the cost. My wife wants to do something similar to you and ditch cable and just get a handful of services but when you add up a handful of them to the internet cost I'm wondering if the savings would even be worth it.

Forgive me if I have this wrong. Don't you get access to Hulu when you have disney+?

Not going to debate on Prime Video because I completely agree. Their UI is busy and all over the place. Too much detail cobbled together on the screen. That’s Amazon’s MO in general.

It just amazes me that the biggest company in the world can’t figure out how to have an interface that doesn’t look like a early 2000s DVD screen

For me, it's the third best streaming service after Netflix and HBO Max. Those are the only 3 I really watch.
