How Star Wars was saved in the edit

I had known for a long time that they did a lot in editing to help make Star Wars as good as it turned out, but wow I had no idea it was the extensive. It also makes you wonder if some of the special edition changes were as much about Lucas wanting to change things his ex-wife did as much as anything else. It's about a 15 minute video FYI.

OT had many people to force lucas to not be an idiot. = GOAT
PT had noone that could stop him. = Worst of all Time

Current trilogy: basically a blank slate b/c Lucas consolidated the original 7, 8, & 9 into ROTJ.
They basically ripped off ANH with TFA. Maybe they will be able to pull another epic movie like ESB with TLJ.

All of this. Most people don’t realize that without Gary Kurtz, Star Wars as we know it doesnt exist.

I agree completely. He left Jedi over the nonsense that you now see in special editions and the prequels. He basically saved Lucas from himself in the first 2 movies.
