I brought this up a couple weeks ago, and i dont think we ever confirmed or denied it
It could just be the yellow umbrella throwing us off but i definitely thought she was but i could definitely be wrong

..but I swear I thought I remembered them showing her from the back/side and she was blonde. No camera tricks or whatever, but that she literally had blonde hair. Not sure what I am remembering if it's not the mom though..

I have the same recollection, but chicks color their hair often enough that it's easy to explain away if they changed directions.

I saw the episode "Miracles" a few weeks ago, and just noticed this on the plot summary:
That was episode 20 of season three. So there have prolly been underlying Barney/Robin hints throughout the series I imagine.

I don't think they have ever shown more than her legs or being clothed under her umbrella. I don't recall her ever showing her hair. I always thought she was a brunette.

Didn't they show her in Rachel Bilson's apartment at one time? Maybe we just saw legs that time though, if I'm even remembering that correctly.

Wouldn't it stand to reason if both parents have brown hair the kids would be more likely brunette?

The threesome girls were Danica McKellar and Busy Phillips. Rachel Bilson was much later.
ETA: Kaylee DeFer is the girl who plays Bilson's girlfriend on the show. She could definitely get it.
ETAA: And Kaylee DeFer is the blonde that was in the bar with Bilson when Ted thought it was her roommate, which is probably the genesis of my confusion about the hair color.
