towards the top. The realness and how it captured the declining time of the NY Mobs was awesome. Dudes started selling drugs and turning on or whacking each other with a quickness. To me that's more interesting than an all out war or the "secrecy" bullshite.

1 or 3, depending on when I saw the Godfather movies last.

1st.

It's a more realistic and gritty look at the life of a gangster, whereas "The Godfather" movies, while great, told much more of a operatic, cinematic story. Depends on your taste I guess.

I think Godfather is the best Mafia movie (you can combine I and II if you like), but Goodfellas is the most fun to watch.

I think it's my favorite one.

I didn't see Godfather until about almost ten years ago. And it was good, but it seemed kinda boring and slow at times. Whoever said it was more of a dramatic look at the mafia was right on. I liked Goodfellas because it interested me more, and seemed to be a little more realistic.

3rd.

Godfather 1 and 2 are very simply two of the five best American films ever made, of any genre.

Goodfellas is awesome, though. Much more action than either GF, although nowhere near as dramatic.

Also, Suicide Kings is a vastly underrated mafia movie.
