there is one correct answer.

It aired on Sunday nights.

i will maintain that "Pier Pressure" is the funniest and most consequential episode of Television ever aired.

I'm in the middle of a season 4 rewatch and it's funnier than anything I've seen on TV since, even if the earlier seasons are somewhat better. Best comedy series ever, IMO.

There is so many references you really have to pay attention and know what has come before.

It was ahead of its time in terms of being smart and the public just wasn't ready for that yet.

Talky TV comedies that walk the line between satire and absurdity (aka British-esque) didn't really take hold in the US until what? The Office?

Gotta remember too that Curb was getting all the hype from media talkers who were into "smart comedy' at that time. HBO had much better marketing and critical hype for new shows than Fox did.

Fox has a long string of mishandling really good TV shows and cancelling them too early.

Arrested development - Revived by Netflix
Lucifer - Revived by Netflix
Brooklyn 99 - Picked up by NBC
Firefly - Got a follow up Movie

Almost Human
Dollhouse
Sliders
Jon Doe
Brisco County Jr
The Good Guys

Family Guy
American Dad
Futurama
were all cancelled originally and came back to have long and amazing runs

I thought it got canceled when the show get caught up in legal matters with the band, Arrested Development, that sued them over naming rights.
