Have you not changed jobs in your life? Different functions, responsibilities, titles, messages to accept and convey, etc. Same shite, he just has his work judged by a wider audience, all for the same reason most people work...for the coin.

Check out his sleeping tapes...he has his Dude vibe on in those.

Jeff’s personality is more like the dude’s when he’s not acting

Jeff Bridges was a lot of different characters before The Dude.

It's easy to see a bunch of his earlier roles morphing into the old SOB he is in Hell, or High Water.

The Last Picture Show, Rancho Deluxe, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Heaven's Gate, 8 Million Ways to Die, Nadine, Wild Bill, True Grit, ...

Rancho Deluxe, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot,

Two movies that only get made in the 70's? Thunderbolt and Lightfoot is one of the strangest "buddy movies" I've ever watched, but then it was directed by Cimino.

But yea, that's clearly the same guy who would later play the grizzled old cowboy.

When he dies his tombstone will have his real name on it, until then he's Bad Blake.

Couple of strange parts?

Rabbits in the trunk scene on Youtube

They think this guy they carjacked had cool clothes scene on Youtube They wore the guy's clothes through the rest of the movie.

Does this not remind you of Highlanders' scene where Kurgan hijacks a car from a couple?

NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW
I think there's a bare bottom in this.

Paul Williams - Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (Where Do I Go from Here music video) on Youtube

Agreed. If you have some time check out the show on Netflix called "Off Camera" and watch the Jeff Bridges interview. I laughed out loud at some crazy comments but overall the guy is the dude. It's awesome.

Jeff has a pretty good range. Always been impressed with his acting.

The Dude
True Grit
Tron
Crazy Heart
The Giver
The bad guy in Iron Man

Pretty good range of characters and types of movies. Comedy, action, romance, sci-fi, western. Protagonist & villain

Edit: took away the miss

His portrayal of Rooster Cogburn was horrendous with his thick arse drawl and mumbling most of the dialogue making me wish there were subtitles to understand what the hell he was saying.

Some movies just don't need to be remade, and that was one of them.
